DAMO PRO's ¼-inch steel shell is built to take forklift hits: blades, outriggers, pallets. It is backed by a lifetime impact warranty. Install it once, and that column comes off your repair list forever. Leave the damage, and you’re depending on a column you can’t trust.

The DAMO PRO Lifetime Warranty covers defects in design, materials, and workmanship for as long as your racking system remains in service. If the repair kit is ever damaged under normal use, Damotech will repair or replace it, no questions asked. The warranty offers long-term peace of mind.
We measure the damage, cut above it, and bolt on a kit made for that column. No pallets need to come down in most cases. No on-site welding, so no hot-work permit and no fire watch. The kit arrives with every anchor and bolt it needs.
Many repairs can be planned with little to no unloading, depending on rack height, repair location, beam interference, and site conditions. Your Damotech rack expert confirms this on the site visit.

Every kit ships with heavy-duty screw-type anchors. When your rack needs it, we add DAMO BRACE to match the original brace pattern above the kit. On a double-leg repair, a DEFLEX plate can be added at the base. It protects the frame from side hits at the end of the aisle.
Most repair-kit warranties cover manufacturing defects for a fixed term and exclude new impact damage. DAMO PRO is covered for life against impact. If it gets hit, we repair or replace it under warranty terms.

Each DAMO PRO is engineered for your rack's original load capacity, configuration, and seismic requirements. It does not increase capacity; it restores the column to the capacity on your load plaque and load application and rack configuration drawings (LARCs).

DAMO PRO uses ¼-inch HSS. Unreinforced cold-formed repair kits bend the same way as the original upright frame. HSS is what makes the repair resist the next hit.
Damotech is a member of the Rack Manufacturers Institute. Requirements vary by jurisdiction, rack type, and authority having jurisdiction, so keep those repair records for your next audit.
Damotech's Orange Pros and Damotech-certified dealer crews install across the U.S. and Canada. Installers are recertified every year. A standard kit goes in in under 60 minutes.
Still replacing damaged uprights with OEM frames? A new OEM upright sits in the same forklift path as the one it replaced. You unload the bay, wait for parts, and do it all again after the next hit. A DAMO PRO repair goes in once, restores rated load capacity, and takes the next hit for you. See how the two compare:
| DAMO PRO engineered repair kit | OEM Frame Replacement | |
|---|---|---|
| Lead time | Custom column kits typically ship in weeks | Several weeks to several months (about 3 months on average for OEM parts based on our data) |
| Installation time | Typically 30–60 minutes per upright | Several hours to days per upright, depending on beam levels and whether sprinklers run through the rack |
| Downtime | Minimal | Significant |
| Bay unloading | Little-to-no unloading in most cases, using the DAMO EASY LIFT system, where site conditions allow | Full unloading of the damaged upright and adjacent bays is typically required |
| Load capacity | Restores the rack’s original rated load capacity when installed to the engineered design | Original capacity restored only with an exact-match upright |
| Impact protection | Built-in: ¼" hollow structural steel engineered to withstand future forklift strikes | None: a new upright is as vulnerable as the original |
| Warranty against impact | Lifetime impact warranty | Typically not covered by standard OEM rack warranties |
| Longevity of the fix | Permanent ends the cycle of recurring upright replacement | Varies: prone to repeat damage at the same location |
| Rack compatibility | Engineered to fit any brand, profile, and configuration, including racks no longer in production | An exact-match upright must be sourced to maintain capacity |
| On-site welding | None: bolt-on kit; no hot-work permit or fire watch required | May be required depending on configuration |
| Steel waste | Low: only the damaged section is removed | High: the entire upright is discarded, even if most of it is undamaged |
| Cost over rack life | Lowest cost over the life of the rack | Higher: recurring replacement costs multiply over time |

DAMO PRO is custom-engineered for the specific rack system rather than being a generic, one-size-fits-all kit. It uses heavy-duty structural steel, includes the required anchoring hardware, restores the rack’s original rated capacity, and is backed by a lifetime impact warranty. Certified installation is also available across North America.
Yes. DAMO PRO is engineered to restore the damaged upright to the rack’s original rated load capacity and configuration when installed according to the engineered design. It does not increase the manufacturer’s rated capacity, so the rack must continue to be loaded according to its approved documentation.
In most cases, yes. Using the DAMO EASY LIFT system, certified installers can repair the damaged section with little or no pallet unloading, depending on site conditions and the rack configuration. A typical repair takes approximately 30 to 60 minutes per upright.
No. DAMO PRO is a bolt-on repair kit. The structural components are manufactured and welded in a controlled facility, then delivered ready for installation. The repair is secured to the existing upright and anchored to the floor without on-site welding or hot-work permits.
DAMO PRO is designed as a permanent repair and includes a lifetime impact warranty. If the installed unit is damaged during normal use, Damotech will repair or replace it in accordance with the warranty terms. The warranty also covers defects in design, materials, and workmanship for as long as the racking system remains in service.
Yes. DAMO PRO can be custom-engineered for most pallet-rack brands, profiles, and configurations, including racks that are no longer manufactured. Available configurations include single-leg, double-leg, slant-frame, cantilevered, drive-in, and other non-standard applications, subject to engineering review. DAMO PRO can come powder-coated or galvanized, and is suitable for any environment, including dry, cool, refrigerated, freezer, and outdoor use.
Made-to-measure DAMO PRO units are generally ready to ship within a few weeks. Actual timing depends on the rack configuration, quantity, finish, location, and current production schedule. Contact Damotech for a current estimate.
Yes. DAMO FLEX and DAMO ADVANTAGE cover lighter damage and tighter budgets. All are engineered and restore original load capacity; they differ in protection, design, and cost. See the repair kit comparison table to choose.
