Can you repair a cantilevered or slanted racking system?

Yes, we absolutely can. Damotech’s engineered repair kits are designed to safely and permanently repair and protect cantilevered and slanted pallet rack uprights. Our flagship DAMO PRO repair kit has a dedicated configuration called DAMO CAN, specifically developed for racks that are already cantilevered or sloped. 

With the CAN option, we replace the damaged section of the upright with a made-to-measure, bolt-on repair unit that follows the original angle and geometry of your cantilevered rack. The goal isn’t to “force” the rack into a different shape; it’s to restore the original configuration and load capacity while adding built-in impact resistance at the base, where most damage occurs. 

Like all DAMO PRO configurations, the CAN version is manufactured from heavy-gauge structural steel and anchored with high-shear Hilti screw-type anchors. The repair kit is engineered to match your rack’s original capacity, respects the existing brace pattern, and is designed in accordance with applicable rack design standards. Once installed, the repaired upright is protected against recurring impact and backed by a lifetime impact warranty, ensuring that the same rack location does not need to be repaired twice. 

Installation is performed using Damotech’s proprietary lifting device and our certified installers, also known as the Orange Pros team. In most cases, repairs can be completed in under an hour per upright, with minimal to no pallet unloading required, and no on-site welding or hot work permits needed. This makes repairing cantilevered or slanted systems far less disruptive than a full replacement of the upright.
