Why is the Damo Guard attached to the upright with bolts?

All Damotech products are bolted solutions. Anchors and bolts are always supplied with your order at no extra cost.

The Damo Guard is attached to the column to:

1. Prevent it from being pulled off the upright when a forklift is backing up and rubbing the pallet on its sides.
2. Help transfer lateral impacts through the centroid of the column instead of possibly damaging the column flanges (in the case of cold-formed columns).
